The State of the Schools Address is an annual event supported by Achieve Hartford! It updates the priorities and progress made toward constructing the district into a system of high achieving schools.  This address also summarizes the challenges and efforts to sustaining school reform in Hartford.

 

Hartford Schools Superintendent Steven J. Adamowski delivered this year’s State of the Schools Address October 28, 2010, describing the district as stronger, reform as more convincing and progress more compelling – yet incomplete.  The Superintendent’s presentation provides details.

 

Jim Starr, Executive Director of Achieve Hartford! gave a commentary on the need for “absolute focus and collective urgency” concerning reform, in order to keep positive momentum going toward school improvement.
