Achieve Hartford! believes that effective family engagement is essential to improving student achievement and sustaining reform.
School choice is where “the rubber meets the road” for how reform impacts families. But in Hartford, school choice can be extremely complicated – with so many choice options and overlapping application time frames. Achieve Hartford!’s Parent Choice Education Program provides a unique service to families in Hartford, and may be the only program of its kind in the country.
Running simultaneously with the Hartford Public School District’s Choice Application process every year, our program ensures that parents of children entering the school system for the first time – or transitioning from one school level to another – have the information they need to make an informed school choice.
This program brings trained Parent Choice Advisers and technology to schools and school readiness programs throughout all Hartford neighborhoods, reaching parents where they congregate on behalf of their children.
